Most WordPress and other dynamic websites need a MySQL database to store posts, pages, users, and settings. In cPanel, you can create a database, create a user for it, and connect the two in a few minutes, before you install or configure your website.
Step 1: Log in to your Pakalfa client area and open cPanel
Log in to your Pakalfa client area at billing.pakalfa.com, go to your hosting service, and open cPanel.
Step 2: Open MySQL Databases
In cPanel, find the Databases section and click MySQL Databases. If you prefer a guided setup, you can use MySQL Database Wizard instead — it walks you through the same steps in order.
Step 3: Create a database
Under Create New Database, enter a name for the database. cPanel will add a prefix based on your hosting username, so the full database name will be longer than what you type. Click Create Database, then go back to the MySQL Databases page.
Step 4: Create a database user with a strong password
Under MySQL Users, enter a username for the new database user and create a strong password, or use the password generator in cPanel. Click Create User. Store the username and password somewhere safe, because you will need them when you install or configure your website.
Step 5: Add the user to the database with All Privileges
Under Add User To Database, select the user you just created and the database you just created, then click Add. On the next screen, tick All Privileges, so the user can create, read, update, and delete data in that database, and click Make Changes.
Step 6: Save the details for installation
Save the database name, username, and password for use during a WordPress or manual installation. When an installer asks for database details, enter exactly these three values, along with the database host shown in your own cPanel if the installer asks for it. Do not share these details publicly, and use a different strong password for each database user where possible.
