How to Install Joomla on Pakalfa Hosting with Softaculous

Oct 24, 2026

Joomla is a powerful content management system for building websites, blogs, and online communities. With Softaculous in cPanel, you can install Joomla on your Pakalfa hosting account without uploading files or setting up a database by hand.

Step 1: Log in to your Pakalfa client area and open cPanel

Log in to your Pakalfa client area at billing.pakalfa.com, go to your hosting service, and open cPanel.

Step 2: Open Softaculous Apps Installer

In cPanel, find Softaculous Apps Installer and click on it. Browse or search the list of applications for Joomla.

Step 3: Choose Joomla

Click on Joomla in Softaculous, then click Install to open the Joomla installation settings.

Step 4: Pick the domain

Choose the domain where you want Joomla installed. Leave the directory field empty if you want Joomla on your main domain, for example yourdomain.com. Enter a directory name only if you want Joomla in a subfolder, for example yourdomain.com/site.

Step 5: Set the site name

Enter a site name that describes your website, and a short site description if the installer asks for one. You can change these later from the Joomla administrator area.

Step 6: Create the admin account

Create an admin username and a strong password, and enter a real admin email address. Do not use a guessable username such as “admin” alone, and store your password somewhere safe, because you will need it to log in to Joomla.

Step 7: Install Joomla

Review your settings and click Install. Softaculous will create the database, upload the Joomla files, and complete the setup. This usually takes only a minute or two.

Step 8: Log in to the Joomla administrator area

When installation is finished, Softaculous will show your site address and administrator link. Log in to the Joomla administrator area at yourdomain.com/administrator using the admin username and password you created. From there you can add articles, menus, extensions, and templates, and manage your site.

If the installation fails, first check that your domain is pointed to Pakalfa nameservers/hosting first, then try again once the domain is connected to your Pakalfa hosting.
